Lions Bay

This home sits atop a high rock bluff that overlooks Howe Sound, from Horseshoe Bay to Squamish. The views from it are both panoramic and spectacular, the sunsets quite incredible. Each of the rooms in the home takes advantage of these excellent views.

The client wished a modern home, and the design response was a very simple rectilinear white form. The bluff is surrounded by steep, forested hillside. The form of the house is set against the bluff itself, the dark green of the hillside, and the deep blues, grays and purples of the surrounding ocean and mountains. A white form, set into a dramatic, rich, dark landscape.
