Point Grey

This renovation was the proverbial renovation that grew. As construction began, problems with the existing structure became apparent, necessitating a greater degree of rebuilding than had ever been anticipated. This family rose admirably to each challenge as it arrived, and the design team and construction crew shifted gears and kept construction momentum going as the scope unfolded.

The renovation completely reconfigured the upper floor of the home creating bedrooms and ancillary space to suit the owners current needs. It also provided the opportunity for an overall updating of the exterior that had become quite badly weathered in places. Other work included a renovation of the family room and the main staircase.

This home is located near the ocean, close to a popular beach. The new vocabulary chosen for the redesign of the home was that of a beach house.
